Resolved Question: New place to live Texas or New Mexico?

I want to move to either Texas or New Mexico. So i would like to know the pros and cons of those places and I know Texas has like super hot weather does New Mexico have that too, because i dont like the Texas weather that much since its that hot? So i would like to move to a place were there is lakes and a lot of stores, parks, nice neighborhoods and schools, and then maybe its surounded of other cool places maybe a surburb too.
